designing the tortoise.

these are the original drawings of my tortoise i got insperaion from the original drawings of the tortoise i just gave it a modern twist i feel. i put them in to photoshop did this...





these are some screenshots from my work. this is the way you have to do it. i had to separate the tortoise up in to section because in flash you have to work with the different body parts to make it move correctly.
i also add a peg leg to the tortoise because i thought it would to to hard to animate crutches onto the tortoise. i think the peg leg works well though. i wanted it to look real, wooden like. the animation of the tortoise is going to be simple but funnny. to give the impreshion that it is moving through the city.

in my interactive story i am going to create a modern twist of the story.

i am going to have the story using characters that i have drawn.

the set for the story is going to be leeds city. a race though the city.

i am going to take multiple pictures of a race route though leeds.

as in the story the hare gets distracted easily by many things. i am going to use coffee houses, cinemas and other places that make the hare eventually.

in my interactive story you will play as the hare and see though the eyes of the hare. but in the race you have to stop because of tiredness ( you go to fast ).

the tortoise will go a steady pace on it crutches.

as the hare you will see the tortoise slowly catch up to you.

i may use video clips so as the hare i can make it look like its really speedy.




ok the race is going to start at the bottom of briggate leeds.
im going to take about 10 - 15 picture up to the top to give a good feel of the environment where your racing.

im going to take multiple pictures in starbucks cafe and boarders for on of the hare distractions. than again in one of the bars on the way up to the college. mybe in two bars.the hare could go in to one bar then have the taste for it and get drunk in the next. so he then loses the race.i think i will make the hare get drunk because its quite funny also its more of a modern twist of old falling asleep.

this is a cool interactive game/ story online. its pretty simple but fun. the character talks to you about the image the scrolls down. button at the bottom are easy to use and strait forward. all done in flash.



this is a interactive story of clifford. aint at kids. a lot of interactiverty sound lots of buttons etc. they used simple rollover buttons. really effective.



this is more of an interactive game more than a story. its quite fun. but i think it more complicated to do because of the action script needed.

its a fun website done in flash. the are many different roll over buttons and if you click thing other things move. the game are fun and easy to understand. simple but efective. this is what im going to achieve for my project.

againstallodds are a animation team with a great style. i am really fond on there new coke zero adverts. they are really watchable and unique. using body parts is a risky thing to do but the managed to make the tounge and brain etc but be funny no disgusting

spike jonze

fat boys slim got spike to do this music video for them. it became one of the most watch and known videos of the time.



this is spike jonze first skateboarding intro. i think it is amazing the slowmotion capture a holy feel and also gets you exited about the skateboard film ahead. this will have been shot on 16 mil camera where you can get 200 fps thats why the slow motion is so smooth. it is call over cranking the camera to get this effect.

This allows the user to have a quick and easy access of images captured for playback and further analysis. this is a crazy frame rate.

these cxameras can shoot up to 10000 fames per second. when a normal house hold camera will only do 24 fps.

this is a video using a high speed camera. it can capture some amazing imagery. i want to use one myself for a brief in the future. i would love to play around with one. i would like to film some explosions and mybe some skateboarding tricks to see the exact
movement of the feet and body.
i would mybe like to use one for my horror film.
